I have had this information and tried it before. In my assets folder, the closest to what is suggested in the article is

jquery-2.2.3.min.js and further into that folder there is nothing close to ‘elevate’. I have attached a screenshot of what I see. Is there a way how to do it?

Go to the product page from the Admin panel ,

their may be the option to disable the product zoom out.

if their is not then you have to remove it by the custom code.
