how do i remove this?

@hej_10

Hey @hej_10

Welcome to the Shopify Community!

I understand that you are seeing a ‘Ships from China’ message somewhere on your store, and wish to remove it.

Would it be possible to share some more context on where you are seeing this message? Is it on your product pages perhaps?

Any extra information you can provide will be helpful for troubleshooting this - feel free to share any relevant screenshots, the name of the theme you are using and even your store URL if you are comfortable doing so.

Myself and others in the Community can try our best to help you out, however a little bit more information will be required.

Looking forward to hearing back!

I Can’t give the link to the Webshop because it isn’t out yet

hey

the website look like this

and I can’t give you the link because the website isn’t out yet

Hi @hej_10

Thanks for getting back with the extra information and screenshots, they are very helpful! That is no problem about the store link, don’t worry.

From the screenshots you have provided, it looks like the ‘Ships From China’ text is on the product pages themselves. It seems like the ‘Ships From’ is listed as a variant, with ‘China’ being the only available variant option to select from (similar to how you can select the ‘Emitting Color’ option with the various values).

Have you added these products to your store via the use of an app, such as a dropshipping app perhaps? I have seen similar behavior to this before with the use of the now discontinued Oberlo dropshipping app. When a product has multiple warehouses that it ships from, it can pull this data into Shopify during the import process and they are added as variants.

I am hesitant to suggest simply removing that variant option, as it may cause some issues with those products remaining in sync with the app you are using. In this case if you are indeed using a third party dropshipping app, then it would be a good idea to reach out to them directly to ask how they would recommend dealing with this. You can do this by clicking into the Support tab on the app store page - for example on the DSers page here (screenshot below).

I did some digging into this and found an older Shopify Community post from someone with basically the same concerns. In that thread there are some good suggestions for how to deal with this, with the main solution being to rename the “Ships From” variant and its options in order to hide the origin country and make it more suitable for customers worldwide. For example you could rename ‘Ships From’ to ‘Collection’, and ‘China’ to ‘2022’ (or any other text of your choosing, that is just an example).

In either case, reaching out to the third party app first to get their input would be a good idea! If you do indeed have a dropshipping store and are interested in learning more about it, I would highly recommend this blog post which is packed full of helpful information! When are you planning on going live with the store?
