I’m attempting to plug a Map Section onto my home page. While I plugged in the Google Maps API key and the map actually displays in the box, how do I know it actually works? Viewing it in preview, it looks good but it’s not clickable, shouldn’t it be? Or is it only functioning after the website is published? Thanks!

Follow these steps to enable the effective functionalities of your Google maps
Steps to Add the API to Shopify
- Go to your Shopify Admin dashboard, select “Online Stores,” and then “Themes”.
- Search for your page’s theme and choose “Customize”.
- Select “Add section”.
- Choose “Map” and select one.
- Enter all the information for your map.
- Paste your Google Maps API key to the according field.
- Hit “Save”.
Then After these you follow the next step to enable the Google Maps functionalities
Enable an API
- Go to the API Console.
- From the projects list, select a project or create a new one.
- If the APIs & services page isn’t already open, open the console left side menu and select APIs & services, and then select Library.
- Click the API you want to enable. …
- Click ENABLE.
