When I press the back arrows on my menu items it totally disappears and I’ll have to refresh to be able to see it again. How can I fix it so it can just go back instead of hiding it. The forward arrows work but when I need to go back to see another menu item or different collection it totally deleted the entire menu including arrows.

Issue is JS conflict.
I suggest revert the changes you did in the code and it will fixed automatically.
Alternatively you need to manually find the issue in the theme files and fix it.
In the screenshot you an check the error.
btw if nothing works then you need to as a developer to fix it.
How do I get to the coding screen so I can fix this?
