How do I fix the footer design in my Impulse theme?

Topic summary

Footer columns in the Impulse Shopify theme are appearing stacked instead of aligned side by side, with the screenshot/image being central to the issue. The store owner says they already tried editing code several times but could not get the footer navigation and other blocks into a clean horizontal layout.

Key developments:

  • One reply says the layout can be fixed with custom code, but also notes difficulty accessing the password-protected site because there was no visible place to enter the password.
  • Another participant reports solving a similar issue without code: in the theme customizer’s footer section, reducing each block’s column width (for example from 100% to 20%) allowed multiple columns to sit next to each other instead of wrapping below.
  • The original poster tried that settings-based approach and says it still did not work for their store.

Current status:

  • No confirmed fix was reached for this specific store.
  • The discussion remains open, with unresolved uncertainty over whether the problem requires theme settings changes or custom code.

Hi there @Champletic ,

This can be done using some custom code. Also, I can’t see any place to put a password on your password page.

I am also interested to find the answer to this. Can’t seem to find any information on it.

I’ve just worked out how to do it with out adjusting code.

if you go to your footer section on your customize theme section. You need to adjust the column size in the sections. If the are to big to fit another column beside it, it will automatically put the column under the first one and so on. Eg: mine were all set to 100% so they where all underneath each other. Once I adjusted the column to 20% for each one they moved to beside each other. You can then adjust the size to centre them.

I’ve just tryed this, still doesn’t work for me…

Hmm weird, I just openend the website, could you help me out?

I know it’s by custom code, I can’t seem to figure it out.

I can’t help you out with the code unfortunately. I also tried to figure it out using code and couldn’t get it.
