Hi I started the free trial and I was charged for the month as I forgot to cancel subscription. I thought I would have to verify to continue with the services. Looking to get a refund for the month as I will not be using it please

I can see this is your first post here in the Shopify Community - you are very welcome!
I understand that you forgot to cancel your subscription before your free trial ran out, and have now been charged for your first month. Just so you are aware, when you add a payment method and choose a plan, you will automatically be billed for the month ahead when you reach the end of your free trial period.
I am sorry to hear that Shopify didn’t work out for you this time - was there anything in particular that you found difficult, or anything else I could help out with? I do understand that sometimes it is just not the right time for your business to move over to Shopify, and that is OK! If you decide to change your mind and come back to the store then your data will be intact for 2 years (you just need to log back in and select a new plan to continue).
With regards to securing a refund - here on the Shopify Community we actually do not have any access to account information, which includes things like your Shopify billing. Your best bet would be to reach out to our support team using this link and explaining your situation to one of our advisors who can take a closer look at your account. To set expectations - we generally do not offer refunds which is outlined in our terms of service page here, however we understand that every situation is different and we will do our best to try accommodate you in whatever way we can.
