Hi, I’m Wayne from Akohub. We have been working with many brands to run online stores. After viewing your website, I believe our expertise could add value to your business.

A great way to start is by leveraging paid advertising channels like Google Ads and Facebook Ads, which can quickly put your products in front of people actively searching for items or browsing similar interests. Google Ads helps you reach shoppers who are already looking for what you sell, while Facebook and Instagram ads let you target audiences based on their demographics and behaviors, making it easier to connect with the right customers. To get the most out of your ad spend, it’s smart to create specific landing pages for each campaign, so visitors see exactly what they’re interested in as soon as they click through.

Once you’ve started attracting visitors, retargeting campaigns become a powerful tool to turn those browsers into buyers. Retargeting works by showing personalized ads to people who have recently visited your website but haven’t purchased yet, reminding them of the items they viewed and encouraging them to come back. This approach is highly effective since retargeted users are much more likely to convert than first-time visitors.

To streamline your marketing efforts and make campaign setup easier, you can check out our Ako Marketing App. The app allows you to launch retargeting campaigns and manage them easily, making it simpler to keep your business in front of interested shoppers and ultimately drive more sales without getting bogged down in technical details.

Best wishes! If you have any more questions or need a free professional consultation, feel free to let us know! Don’t forget to like and mark it as a solution if you find this helpful.

Hi @Sm9999

I have collected the following ideas to increase traffic and sales. Please have a look. Thank you!

  1. Find out your target user. You can target users based on these factors: age, gender, regions, hobbies, lifestyle, and other qualities. This will benefit your minds when designing store pages, optimizing product descriptions, and creating ads.

  2. Design a store brand. It is suggested to take some time and decide what your brand stands for. Find your unique selling products and what you sell to users; in this way, it will build up a brand sense and influence the feeling of store, to further contribute to your final sales.

  3. Optimize your store pages. First, identify where your users come from: Google Search, Social Media, or ads? Then pay more attention to the related section and optimize your store contents. For example, if your users come from Google Search, then you need to optimize meta title and meta description contents and consider doing On-Page SEO to have a better performance on Google.

Also, please note one thing: your store business is a work in progress; constantly optimizing and learning from your users will be good for your store. I hope my feedback can work for you in some ways. Thank you!

Hi @Sm9999 . Driving traffic to your store is key, but getting quality traffic is just as important. Here’re a few core strategies (maybe you’re already on them - if not, just do it asap):

  • SEO to rank higher and display better in search engines

  • Social media marketing (esp. platforms like TikTok or Instagram)

  • Paid ads (Google, FB) to drive targeted traffic quickly

  • Email marketing to re-engage past visitors

  • etc.

For SEO specifically, you can try our SearchPie SEO app since it features a lot of automation tools to help optimize your store’s SEO and visibility on Google Search.

But remember, getting traffic is only half the battle. Turning that traffic into real sales is where most stores struggle, and that usually comes down to people’s trust. When someone visits your store, they need to feel confident in your product, brand, and policies. This means high-quality photos, honest product descriptions, clear shipping info and ideally, some reviews or badges that build credibility.

If you’d like, feel free to share your store URL here and I’ll take a quick look to offer more targeted suggestions!

I feel you, getting traction is tough at first. What really helped me was focusing on one channel at a time (for me it was Instagram), staying consistent, and making sure my product pages looked super clean and trustworthy.

Thanks for reaching out to the Shopify Community! I’m Donna from MooseDesk. From my experience working with early-stage merchants, here are a few critical areas to focus on:

1. Drive the Right Traffic

Paid ads can work, but if the traffic isn’t high intent or isn’t seeing compelling enough offers or differentiation, it won’t convert. Try:

  • Leveraging social proof: Show what’s selling, post unboxing videos, or document the sourcing journey on TikTok and Instagram Reels.

  • Diversifying traffic sources: Post items on Facebook Marketplace, Etsy, or even eBay to build awareness.

  • Collaborations or micro-influencer outreach: It helps build credibility in your niche.

2. Retention + Email Loop

Often overlooked: even a small email list (50–100 subscribers) can become your best source of repeat sales. Offer early access to new drops, discounts for return buyers, and simple weekly updates (like “Top 5 finds this week”). Combine this with a discount popup or giveaway to build your list.

3. Understand Buyer Behavior

Use heatmaps and session recordings (via tools like Hotjar or Lucky Orange) to see where users get stuck. Is it unclear pricing? Shipping? Product sizing? Sometimes small friction points can break the journey.

Also, adding real-time support, such as a live chat widget (MooseDesk is a great one to try, especially for early-stage stores), can help catch and convert hesitant visitors.

Keep going, and don’t hesitate to reach out if you need more eyes on your store. You’ve got this! :flexed_biceps: :sparkles:

Hi @Sm9999 ! Improving sales for a resale business requires a focused approach on both traffic generation and conversion optimization. Without seeing your specific store, here are the key areas that typically impact resale business success:

Traffic Generation Strategies:

  • SEO & Content: Create blog content about fashion trends, styling tips, sustainable fashion, and care guides for pre-owned items. This helps attract customers searching for fashion advice while showcasing your expertise.
  • Product Presentation: Resale items need exceptional photography and detailed condition descriptions to build trust. Customers need to feel confident about quality when buying second-hand.
  • Store Credibility: Build trust through customer reviews, clear return policies, authenticity guarantees, and professional store design. Trust is crucial for resale businesses.
  • Product Organization: Group similar items effectively and make it easy for customers to browse by size, brand, category, or style preferences.
  • Technical Foundation: Ensure your site loads quickly and has proper SEO optimization to compete effectively in search results.

To streamline these improvements: Tapita AI SEO Blog Builder is completely free and perfect for creating fashion and sustainability content that drives organic traffic. Tapita: SEO Optimizer & Speed offers a comprehensive free plan for technical optimization. Tapita: AI Theme Section Store is also free and can help add trust-building sections to your homepage.
