Hello,
For a technical person, adding that UI would be a something that can be done relatively quickly.
For non-techie, in Shopify, you have to change the coding structure and layout on your backend.
If you want to try I recommend starting a tutorial on HTML and CSS first, which will give you a basic insights on how to make a layout. Then, using liquid code (Shopify’s template language) and using javascript (scripting language), you can add the function however you want it to.
That being said, for a non-technical person, this would be hard so I recommend reaching out to your developer on doing that.
