How do i make the header of a dropdown menu clickable

Hi,

On my store i have a drop down menu for branded items with all of the brands listed in the drop down, All of these brands are clickable.

How do i make the header of this menu (that is clicked to show the drop down options) clickable to show all of the products from the below sub categories and still have an option of showing the specific brands? Would it be to have the drop down show on hover?

Or is the best option to simply have the first item on the drop down as show all?
