Hello there!
I was wondering if someone could help answer my question. I am designing a gift shop website. There are 2x options to send the gift either in a gift balloon or a gift box. I have added both these options as variants. Second to this, in this particular. product there are 2x sizes of bodysuits available and I have also added these as options. My question is in regards to my screenshot below…
There will be 5 bodysuits in total (3x 0-3 and 2x 3-6) however the user can choose whether to receive this in either a gift box OR gift balloon. I’m scared that if I start putting quantities into the available boxes it will skew my product availability. I want to change this so I only have to put quantities in for clothing items only and not have them related to the Boxed or Ballooned options.
I hope this makes sense.
Thank you!
The way you have set up your product variants is correct, I think, but you are right to be concerned about the quantity of the gift boxes and balloons skewing your product availability.
Maybe, trying to create two separate products for the bodysuits, one for the 0-3 size and one for the 3-6 size?
Hi @LittleGifties
As described by @alexrom_0124 is correct you can create different URL for both variant and then put other items as variant.
Second option is,
Don’t create variant for Items which don’t impact or change the cost of product.
You can create dummy variant using app or avoid charges use custom code.
Infinite option app could help you creating these variants.
Hi @LittleGifties ,
I have a simple solution for your issue using the Easify Product Options app (which offers a Free plan). This app enables you to create a custom option directly within its interface. You can use this to let customers choose between a gift balloon or a gift box on the bodysuits product page, without the need to create separate product variants and potentially complicate your inventory management
.
Here’s a quick guide to help you set it up:
- Begin by setting up your Bodysuit product with Size variants only (e.g., 0-3M & 6-9M).
- Install the Easify Product Options app and create a new option set:
- Within the option set, add an option for customers to select between a “Gift balloon” or a “Gift box”. You can choose a suitable option input type like Image Swatches, Dropdown, Buttons, Radio Buttons, etc.
Image Swatches:
Dropdown with images:
Buttons:
- Select the specific product(s) to which you want to add these custom gift options. In this case, your Bodysuit product.
That’s it! You’re all set:
As you can see, handling your issue becomes straightforward with the Easify Product Options app. I encourage you to give it a try and see how it streamlines your setup
.
Hi @alexrom_0124 so I have had a think about it and the balloons will cost more than the boxes so they will have an additional price on them but again I don’t want them connected to the bodysuits just each other if that makes sense? I want the varients as separate options, but don’t want them to effect each other!

Hi @LittleGifties ,
Adding an additional price for the “Gift Balloon” is a easy with the app—here’s how:
I’d like to emphasize that my suggestion involves creating custom gift options within the app itself, rather than as separate product variants. This way, the “Gift Balloon” and “Gift Box” remain independent of the bodysuit’s inventory or price, aligning perfectly with your requirement
.
I recommend dedicating some time to explore the app firsthand, following my recommended guide. Doing so will likely provide you with a clearer understanding of how everything comes together
