I would like to change the title color of multiple columns without changing the color of the small letters in the multiple columns. How can I best do this?
Topic summary
-
Goal: Change the title color in Shopify’s Multicolumn section without affecting smaller text within the columns. The request focuses on styling only the section title.
-
Clarification: “Multicolumn” refers to a theme section displaying content in multiple columns. The task is a CSS-only adjustment.
-
Solution provided: Add a CSS rule that targets only the heading inside the multicolumn title: .multicolumn__title h2 { color: black; }. This isolates the title and keeps other text unchanged.
-
Steps: Go to Online Store > Themes > Edit code. In Assets, open base.css, style.css, or theme.css and paste the rule at the end, then save. For a single specific multicolumn, further selector details can be provided if needed.
-
Outcome: The change worked as intended and was confirmed by the requester. Status: resolved; no further action needed. Images were shared to illustrate the result.
Hello @Muselabel
Where is this section located can you please share URL and password if any please?
Hi @Muselabel
If it’s for all section of multicolumn, try this one.
- From your Shopify admin dashboard, click on “Online Store” and then “Themes”.
- Find the theme that you want to edit and click on “Actions” and then “Edit code”.
- In the “Assets” folder, click on “base.css, style.css or theme.css” file, depending on which file your theme uses to store its CSS styles. At the bottom of the file, add the following CSS code:
.multicolumn__title h2 {
color: black;
}
-
And Save.

Result:
-
If it’s only for one specific multicolumn, then let me know which one. Thanks!
