A user initially sought to print receipts from orders using the Shopify POS app but was viewing the desktop admin interface instead. The POS app provides a direct “Receipt” button when viewing individual orders (≡ > Orders > Select order > Receipt > Print receipt).

Hi I would like to print out a receipt on the order.
When I read the instruction on Shopify page, it says to follow the steps below but I couldn’t locate where it is “Receipt”?
From the Shopify POS app, tap ≡ and then tap Orders.
Tap the order that you want to print a receipt for.
Tap Receipt > Print receipt.

Oh maybe because I am looking at Desktop version and I am actually looking for a solution how to print receipts on desktop, is there any way to print the receipt?

Thank you for getting back to me. It makes sense that we were seeing different things, as the help document and steps listed were for the Shopify POS app, rather than the Shopify admin. However I can definitely provide you the information you need for printing a receipt in the admin!
If you only need certain information, you can simply print out the packing slip by clicking More actions > Print packing slips. A packing slip is a document that includes a list of items included in a package. Packing slips include shipping and billing addresses, and product information such as SKU number, weight, quantity, and other information.
If you want more information to be included, such as the price, you will want to use our free Order Printer app. With this app you can quickly print custom packing slips, invoices, labels, or receipts for all your orders. You can print documents in bulk or one at a time depending on your needs. Once the app is downloaded onto your store, you can easily print out an order’s receipt by clicking More actions on the order page, as shown on my test store:
You can also print in bulk by opening the app in your admin (by navigating to Apps > Order Printer). You can read more about the app and how to best use it in this help document. I definitely think the app will work best for what you’re looking to do!

What to do, since the Order Printer app is no longer in use/can’t be downloaded?
A packing slip is not a receipt. How do I send or print a receipt for a customer? It needs to show what they ordered, how they paid and the remaining balance. I cannot believe this is not more simple. Please let me know how to do this for my Shopify store orders.
