Hello, I was wondering if anyone can explain to me how to redirect my 301 links that are broken due to removing products off of my site. I had personalized items that I know longer sell and removed them from my site. Ubbersuggests said I had many broken links, therefore I installed an app which shows me which one’s they are and a majority are the personalized gifts.
Do I redirect the links to my homepage? Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.
You can set up a URL redirect which can be used to redirect traffic from one web page to another. When you change a URL on your Shopify store, you can create a URL redirect to ensure your customers can still find what they’re looking for.
For example, if you delete a product, you can set up a URL redirect so that when customers enter the URL for that product, they are redirected to a similar product in your store.
TIP: If you want to create a lot of redirects, you can simplify this process using an app.
By the way, your website looks great! I had a good look around your store and wondered if you had ever thought about adding an About page? this will really personalize your business to your customers - it’s awesome for them to know who you are and what your company is about. It will also improve your conversion rate which is a big opportunity to grow your business! What do you think?
Thank you Moira for the advice I really appreciate! An about us page would be a great suggestion. I cannot believe I do not have one on there already! Thanks again, Ali
Wow so beautifully written! As a customer, I would feel instantly more connected with your products and goals as a business owner. I also really enjoy how you added an image!
