How do I remove number beside stock available

Topic summary

A merchant using the Venture theme wants to hide stock quantity numbers from displaying on their product pages.

Resolution:
The issue was resolved by disabling the stock level display option in the Theme Editor settings, rather than requiring code edits.

Key guidance provided:

  • Stock levels can be shown/hidden via a toggle in Theme Editor (no coding needed)
  • If custom code was added previously, it would need to be removed from the template
  • Shopify Support can assist with customizations for free themes if complimentary design time remains
  • Alternative recommendation: Consider upgrading to Online Store 2.0 themes (like Dawn) for more built-in customization flexibility
  • For custom work beyond support scope, merchants can post jobs on the Shopify Experts marketplace

Status: Problem solved. The merchant confirmed the issue was fixed after adjusting the Theme Editor settings.

I am trying to work out how to remove the number of items available on my website so customers can’t see how much stock I have. As shown in the photo below. I am using Venture theme. Does anyone know?

Hi @ABXT ,

Thank you for reaching out. That is a great question.

To provide the best advice possible, can you please confirm how did you add this stock level line? Was it by editing product page template code or just by enabling below option within Theme Editor?

If you changed the code, then you can remove this within the theme template that was edited. If you hired a developer to do it for you, the best option would be to reach out to them and see if they can do it for you.

If you don’t feel comfortable editing the template code yourself, you can always reach out to our Support team. Our team may be able to customise this for you if you use Shopify free theme and your store has enough complimentary design time left.

You can reach out to our Contact Us page on this link. Then log in to your store. It will allow us to verify you as the store owner securely. Once you have successfully logged in, you should be able to reach out to a Support Advisor and discuss the customisation request as there are specific customisations supported.

Also, you can post a job on the Shopify Experts Page and see what feedback and quotes you get.

I would also like to recommend our new Online Store 2.0 themes. For example, the Dawn theme as there is a lot more flexibility to customize your pages without any coding required! With Dawn, some of the customizations that you’d normally have to request from our Support Team are now available to be done from your end. You can unpack more of Dawn’s features on our Shopify Blog here too.

Let me know if I can clarify anything further!

Thank you problem fixed in Theme Editor.
