I want to remove my custom domain that a different provider manages so it can be “free.”. I want to do this before I deactivate my account. How do I go about this?

If your domain is third party, you will need to log in to your third-party domain provider account and delete the DNS record pointing to Shopify from there. However, if your domain is from Shopify and you want to transfer to other provider, you can do so by going to >settings >domain >domain settings >transfer to other provider.
Hi @SealSubs-Roan are you familiar with Square space? Square Space bought google domains and now my domains are managed by Square Space, but I’m not sure how to delete the DNS record that points to Shopify.
I see there are several records. There is CName - dns-verification.shopify.com
and there is another record that says CNAME - esthers-baby.myshopify.com. Are these the two records I need to delete? I don’t want to delete the wrong things. I see some TXT records, but I think they are pointing to my google accounts.
