How do I remove the default .myshopify domain and description from showing up on Google?

I have bought a custom domain and changed it in the Domain setting. Whenever I search for my custom domain “www.brillorya.com” it shows up, but the default “.myshopify.com” domain also shows up. What can I do?

Also, when my “brillorya.com” domain shows up, it shows a random description and another title, not the ones that I entered in the meta fields.

Even though your custom domain is now primary, Google may still have the .myshopify.com version indexed from when your site was first launched. This is normal and should resolve over time.

Shopify automatically sets up 301 redirects from your .myshopify.com domain to your new custom domain, which tells search engines that the new domain is the permanent one. So you’re not penalized—it just takes a little time for the old version to fully disappear from search results.

You can speed things up by:

Submitting your sitemap in Google Search Console
Using the URL Removal Tool in Search Console to hide the .myshopify.com URL sooner (optional, but can help)

Okay, thank you. What about the Page title and the description. Will they fix themselves as well?

If the my Shopify domain is the one with the incorrect information then yes it will fix itself as this is just cached old information from when Google first indexed your site.

No, I am talking about the “brillorya.com” domain. If You look in the 1st and 2nd photo, the Google page “BRILLORYA” doesn’t have the description and title I inserted in the meta description and home Page title.

Will it fix itself with the info I inserted, or do I have to do something else?
