How do I remove the "Order updates" box from the Thank you or confirmation page?

Hello all,

I’m using Shopify Spotlight theme and I want to remove or hide the “Order updates” box from the Thank you or confirmation page. My website is https://u7yeji-na.myshopify.com

Hi! In the Shopify Spotlight theme, the “Order updates” checkbox (on the Thank You / Order Confirmation page) is not theme-controlled — it’s rendered by Shopify’s checkout system, especially when Shopify Email/SMS notifications are enabled.

You can’t remove or hide it via the theme’s code, even in checkout.liquid (only available on Shopify Plus).

Hi! On standard Shopify plans, the “Order updates” box can’t be removed as it’s part of Shopify’s checkout system.

To reduce its visibility:

  1. Go to Settings → Notifications

  2. Disable SMS notifications under Customer notifications

Note: Even with SMS off, the box may still show if the customer enters a phone number.
