How do I reset my domain DNS settings without using a subdomain?

Hi Guys!

I’m having dificulty connect my domain purchased from godaddy to my shipify store. If was working fine. But after thinking about it, I wanted to connect my store to store.mydomainname.com. But in the process I think I broke something.

Long story short, I’m just trying to reset it to my purched domain name without subdomain use. But can’t seem to flip it back.

I’ve attached a screen shot of my current DNS setting with godaddy.

Hi there,

Following the below steps should address your issue:

  1. Point the A record to the Shopify IP address 23.227.38.65.
  2. If necessary, change the Host name to the @ symbol.
  3. Delete any other A records on the domain if there are any present.
  4. Point the CNAME record with the name www to shops.myshopify.com.
