How do I set up and claim my domain name on Shopify?

Hi, I’m just starting to set up my Shopify account but I don’t know how to set up my domain name, or to make sure that I have claimed it. Any tips on how to check, thanks.

Hey Noah! Welcome to Shopify!

So to set up your domain you’ll want to do the following;

  1. Log into your Shopify Admin

  2. Click Settings,

  3. On the left-hand side you’ll see the “Domains” tab, click it

  4. If you haven’t bought the domain somewhere else, you can click “buy new domain,” and buy it directly with Shopify. After it’s bought you can go ahead and set it as your “Primary domain”
