How do I set up shipping carrier processes on my new store?

Hi, I am Malaysian and new to Shopify. I actually have a problem with Shipping process. As a subscriber to the Basic Plan, I do not see any default carrier that connected with my store. I had went through many websites and YouTube videos to learn how the process will be. I really hope anyone here can clarify on how the process will look like.

My question:

  1. When the customer make a payment, how can we print the air way bill or labels?
  2. After we get to print the labels, how can we know which carrier that we need to send the parcels.
  3. How can we notify the customers.
  4. What is the default carrier we can use (in Malaysia).
  5. How we are connected to them (carriers) because I have tried many way to find even DHL carrier in my Shopify store but I did not find.

Shopify’s shipping carrier integration is unavailable in Malaysia.

To integrate with your preferred carrier in this region, you will need to utilize a separate app.

You have the choice to select from carriers like DHL Express, UPS, FedEx, and TNT Express to manage your order fulfillment.

Through the use of an appropriate app, you can easily perform various tasks, including price comparison, label generation, and customer notifications, among other functionalities.
