How do I stop selling in certain countries

Hey there,

I sell digital products and I want to stop selling in some countries. I’ve tried editing my countries from my shipping settings but because I don’t ship it had no effect. Does anyone know how to stop selling in certain countries?

Have you considered using the app Fraud Filter by Shopify or Locksmith by Lightward? You can set rules and filter down to only allow customers in your outlined countries to purchase.

As @SarvMarketing pointed out, while it’s not possible to remove this as there is no shipping so you can’t restrict certain countries from purchasing. While not completely ideal, a lock style app could be the best way forward for you here. There are a few different lock feature apps in the Shopify App Store you could explore for this. Let’s take a look at them below:

With these apps, you can set it so only people visiting from certain countries can access the product page of the digital product you’re looking to sell.
