How do I turn my draft emails to active without sending them?

I need to make my email drafts active without sending them so I can attach it to a command in the flow app.

All it lets me do is schedule the send, but I don’t want it to send:

thanks

hi @lukafernada

The screenshot you provided shows you’re using Shopify’s email marketing platform. Unfortunately, there’s no direct way to activate email drafts without scheduling them to send.

However, here’s a workaround you could try:

  1. Schedule the email to send:
Choose a future date and time that is far enough in the future to allow you to attach the email to your flow app command.
Make sure the date and time are after the time you plan to activate the flow app command.

  2. Pause the flow app command:
Once you’ve scheduled the email, pause the flow app command that you want to attach the email to. This will prevent the email from being sent prematurely.

  3. Attach the email to the command:
Now, you can attach the scheduled email to the flow app command.

  4. Resume the flow app command:

When you’re ready to send the email, resume the flow app command. This will trigger the scheduled email to be sent.
Important Note:

Make sure the scheduled time for the email is significantly later than when you want the flow app command to trigger. This will give you enough time to pause and resume the command as needed.

If you need to modify the email content after scheduling it, you’ll need to cancel the scheduled send and reschedule it with the updated content.

I hope this workaround helps! Let me know if you have any other questions.
