I am VERY new to shopify so I don’t know a lot of the terms that people use.
I have a number of products in the store. Each has its own description, photo, etc. I would like to make them variants of each other so when I click on a variant, it shows the description, photo, possible price change, etc for the selected item.
I have no idea how to do this. I’d love some help.
What you are looking for are Linked product variations/ Combined listings. If you are on a Plus plan, Shopify has a specific app for it: https://help.shopify.com/en/manual/products/combined-listings
Otherwise, depending on the theme you are using, it could be a default feature, which would most likely require some configuration to be set. I’d recommend contacting theme support to check if your theme includes this.

@OhHelloThere linking separate products as variants is possible by using “combined listings” apps. I can recommend you our app Rubik Combined Listings Swatch. In this way you can maintain separate title, description, images per products. And you can display each variant seperately on collection page. This is advantage for SEO & AEO.
