How do o get sells? What am I doing wrong

  1. Store URL: crowneddominion.store

  2. Screenshots (Click the image icon and upload screenshots from your local device):

  3. What we are trying to achieve and what outcome we expect: How to make sales especially my first sale

Hey @Kristine_Winning

Your store is very straight up on point and you’re not show casing your products properly. Plus, you need a better font as well. The current font of your website makes it looks suspicious.

I can highlight a few points but I suggest you to also check out the Store Feedback board so that you can have an idea on what things to improve.

Store Feedback:

  1. Get yourself a logo first of all, the website looks incomplete without it.

  2. You need to add a picture for this product.

  3. Homepage is too short and you don’t have a proper footer as well.

Your store definitely needs a lot of work. I suggest first spend some time working on it and do some research and find some references of your niche, but the homepage needs serious work before you start driving any real traffic to it. First impressions matter a lot, visitors decide within seconds whether they trust your store enough to buy.

Happy to point you in the right direction anytime. If you ever want someone to just take care of it all, let me know.

Hope that helps! If it did, a Like and Marking it as Solution goes a long way and helps others find the fix faster too.

Best,
Moeed

Hi @Kristine_Winning

Welcome to the community.

To be frank I am not sure selling mystery boxes only is a way to get sales. I mean what are you selling exactly?
“handpicked selection of our most beloved items” “Luxury stationery essentials, Glitter accessories, Self care & wellness goodies, Faith & inspirational items, Boss-level organizing tools” sound like a scam to me.

Your description is so vague and you are not selling anything beside that that have image, real description, plus you use a Gmail email.

I do not know, maybe people like to throw away cash. And those discounts are somethin, how to know a value of mystery box, then offer a discount, is is less mysterious?

And colors are off for me, no info. Product descriptions look like AI-generated. About us page too " Every piece is designed to inspire confidence, creativity, and control over your life".

Not sure about your idea, but still good luck.

Yes, can you please help me

Mystery boxes are one of the hardest things to sell on a brand new store because you’re asking people to pay for something they can’t even see. That requires a ton of trust and right now your store doesn’t have any of the usual trust signals.

Think about it from a first-time visitor’s perspective. They land on your store, they don’t know who you are, there are no reviews, no unboxing photos, no past customer reactions. The only thing they see is “pay us and we’ll send you a surprise.” That’s a tough sell even at $15.

What I’d do before anything else is show what’s actually inside these boxes. Film an unboxing video of each tier. Post real photos of the items laid out. If you’ve sent any boxes to friends or family, get their reactions on camera. That content is what turns a mystery box from “this might be a scam” into “I want to try that.”

Also consider selling a few individual items alongside the mystery boxes. That way people can see the quality of what you carry before committing to the surprise element. Once you have a few sales and reviews, the mystery boxes become much easier to sell.

Have you sent any boxes out yet that you could photograph?

Expecting your got the solution.. Firstly your store looks good but you can consider the other above expert suggestions.

If your are planning to make firsts sales, let’s move on PPC, it will help definitely..

Good Luck

How do I fix the footer

Check this article, hope it help

@Kristine_Winning

This is a tough thing to sell. To pay 50 bucks for luxury items that I cannot see requires trust from people.

Focus on that. I would suggest adding videos here of unboxing, but not letting the people know what’s inside.

If you have an Instagram. I would suggest adding an Instagram feed to your store. This way your videos will be there in your website for people to see.

If you are really leaning to the mystery angle please blur a few things from your store. Why are you revealing the mystery lol.

At the end of the day, trust is something you need to @Kristine_Winning to research more on trust signals and trust badges

Hey, I’m trying it from desktop and it appears to be weird with the photos. The big one seems to be static and it blocks content when I scroll down, it shouldn’t happen this way or else customers will be likely to abandon site

Then why does this one not have prouct image

finally, I think instead of writing simple description with too many icons like this, you can consider optimize your product description by using this to maximize conversion when customer already reach product pages

Hi , @Kristine_Winning
It looks like the store is on the right track, but there are a couple of areas-especially mobile speed and first impression-that could be impacting conversions

Here’s how to improve it :

  1. First Impression (this is usually where sales are lost):
  • Make your homepage headline very specific
  • Add a short subheading explaining the benefit in 1 line
  • Include a clear “Shop Now” button above the fold
  1. Performance Issues:

I have checked your site using PageSpeed Report . It shows higher LCP/FCP, which can slow down the initial load on mobile.

  • Reduce render blocking CSS and JavaScript
  • Compress your hero and product images
  1. Store-Specific Issues Hurting Conversions:
  • All products show the same image - upload unique photos for each product, this is urgently damaging trust
  • No shipping or refund policy on product pages - mystery box buyers need this before purchasing
  • No reviews or social proof - add early testimonials to build confidence
  1. How To Get Your First Sale :
  • Post TikTok packing videos - your store already mentions this and it is perfect for this product type
  • Share on Instagram Reels - unboxing content converts well for mystery boxes
  • Offer a launch discount to your personal network to get first orders moving
  1. Conversion:
  • Add shipping, return and contact info prominently
  • Strong product pages with unique images per product
  • Simple friction-free checkout

With a few improvements to speed and user experience, you should start seeing better engagement and conversions.

If you’re not planning to optimize everything manually, you could also look into tools like Website Speedy to help with image compression and delaying non-critical scripts. It’s optional to use.

Hope this helps!

first thing, the myshopify.com domain has to go. a custom domain is like $12/year and it’s the single biggest trust signal for a new store. nobody is putting their credit card into a site that doesn’t even have its own domain name.

after that, focus on making your product photos consistent and professional-looking. we use Prodofoto to generate clean studio and lifestyle shots from basic product images. for a new store with no reviews and no brand recognition, the photos are doing 90% of the trust-building. if they look amateur, visitors assume the whole operation is amateur. get the domain and the photos right and you’ll have a much stronger foundation before driving any traffic.
