I want to offer volume discounts, but I also want to accept other kinds of promotional codes in tandem, so I can’t use the built-in automatic discount.
The apps that offer volume discounting are a bit bulkier than I need. I’m considering rolling my own. But what method do they use to alter the product price before it hits the cart?

We have recently launched an app that uses newly introduced Shopify Functions to create the feature of Tiered Discounts.
Our app name is Every Possible Discount
The app has a native promotion type of Tiered discounts, which you can use.
The discounts created using the app do not take up the space of the coupon code box in shopify’s checkout, so I feel it could be useful to you.
