I’m curious about how to connect our Shopify website to Google Ads. Could you please explain how that process works? I’d love to understand how our website links to Google for running ads and tracking performance.

Hi there,

As Emannuel said, you can use the Google & YouTube app.

But are you trying to run Google Ads or Google Shopping Ads? For Google Shopping Ads, you will need the app.

For Google Ads, i.e., search ads (I assume), you’ll use your website URLs (product or collection pages) directly in Google Ads, not your Merchant Center feed.

Process is very simple:

  1. Go to your Google Ads dashboard > Campaigns > New campaign.
  2. Choose Sales or Website traffic as your goal.
  3. Select Search as the campaign type.
  4. Enter your Shopify store URL as the destination.
