How do you change input fields in checkout page?

Hello! We need help for a quick fix on one of our Shopify sites! The only thing that needs to be changed is the Shipping Address part.

What we need:

  1. Remove “Country/Region” part since we’re only delivering to 1 country.
  2. Modify the input fields to more relevant ones
  3. Make all fields required except for Company and Landmark input fields

How do we go about this?

Thank you in advance! :slightly_smiling_face:

Hello @trutuyuph_2021 ,

Yes, it is possible to have a custom field on the checkout page.

Can I have your store URL? Which Shopify plan you’re currently using? If you are using a basic Shopify plan then you can’t customize the checkout process or any of its fields as well.

Thanks,

Jeet

Hi, @JeetInamdar !

Thank you so much for your reply!

Here’s our site URL: https://trutuyu.ph/

I need to recheck which plan we’re using first. Hoping it’s not basic then huhu.

If you’re on the right plan head over to settings → checkout and scroll down and it should have all the fields and allow you to set them as required etc

If thats not the case you may need to upgrade your shopify plan to allow for this

I did have a look at your store, what plan you’re currently using?

If your store is running on an advanced plan then follow the below steps:

Go to your Shopify Admin → Click Settings → go to Checkout

Find the form options section and select as per the needed changes you want to have.

Thanks,

Jeet

Thanks for this, @WoodyDev !

Unfortunately, we’re using the Basic one.

Looks like we’ll have to upgrade. Is there really no other way?

Thank you, @JeetInamdar !

Thank you!

No problem!

Unfortunately not as the checkout area is technically owned entirely by shopify so you have very minimal options when it comes to editing it. Even with a higher paid plan, you are still limited to the customisations you can make, it may be worth contacting shopify directly and see if they can just add checkout customisation to your current plan for a minor cost, without making you upgrade your whole plan.
