How do you handle multiple location shipping costs on print on demand sites?

Hi all

A general question I’m hoping to get some feedback on.

I have shipping costs on my print on demand website of Free delivery over £40, and £4.99 under £40.

All my products sit in one general profile, but the products are shipped from multiple location.

  1. If 2 of one product shipped from the same location [combined costs under £40] are added to basket then the delivery costs is £4.99
  2. If 2 products that will be shipped from different locations [combined cost under £40] are added to basket the delivery costs is calculated at x2 £4.99 = £9.98.

It would appear there’s no Shopify fix, and paid apps are the only way to correct this.

How have others tackled this. Have you used an app, or adjusted your product costs to include the shipping costs in order to offer free delivery on everything?

While this would be expected behaviour for multiple shipping locations, you can look to the Shopify App Store as a workaround. There are various apps available that may allow you to achieve this. Ship Station for example, is a very popular one that may work for your business needs.
