For Shopify and ecommerce, I’d check the Shopify Blog, Shopify Editions, Shopify Masters, Practical Ecommerce, and a few good DTC/ecommerce newsletters.
For SEO, Google Search Central is still one of the best places to follow because it comes directly from Google. For broader marketing trends, Think with Google, Meta Business resources, and industry newsletters can be useful.
I’d also recommend following Shopify founders, app partners, CRO people, and operators on LinkedIn because they often share practical learnings before they become “official” best practices.
honestly the best stuff i’ve found isn’t from any one newsletter or channel, it’s from following actual merchants who share what’s working in real time. twitter/x has a solid DTC community if you follow the right people. a few podcasts that are genuinely useful: shopify masters (obviously), my first million for business ideas, and the bootstrap boutique for smaller sellers.
for AI and e-commerce trends specifically, i just pay attention to what’s changing in how customers actually discover products. the shift toward AI-powered search (chatgpt shopping, google AI overviews) is probably the biggest thing worth understanding right now if you’re running a store.
