Before we get started, I’d love to hear what your niche is or what kind of online business you are looking to create. To help get you started, you can sign up here to create your very own Shopify store and begin your 14-day free trial. Your free trial time is a great way to discover and learn more about the platform while building your online store. You can use our General Store Checklist to help you set up important areas like your shipping and payment settings, customize your theme and add your products. I also recommend taking a look at our How to Start an Online Store in 9 Simple Steps resource. This resource can help you discover your target audience, choose a product, design your homepage and much more.
Once you’ve added your products and set up your store, you’ll want to prepare to launch online. You’ll want to test important areas on your store like placing a test order, viewing the checkout process and also navigating your website from a customer’s point of view.
