We’re on Shopify Plus using the new B2B accounts, and our customers have been asking for two features:
- The ability to share a cart between users - for example, one staff member builds the order, and a manager logs in later to review or approve it.
- The ability to access their cart on multiple devices - like starting an order on a work desktop and finishing it on a laptop at home.
With the new customer accounts and 2FA requirements, this has become tricky. Has anyone found a good way to support these workflows with apps or customizations?
Sharing carts between users and syncing carts across devices is indeed challenging with Shopify Plus B2B accounts and 2FA in place. Currently, there’s no out-of-the-box Shopify solution that fully supports this workflow.
Some merchants try custom apps or third-party solutions that save carts as draft orders or use persistent backend storage, but these often require development work and careful handling of authentication.

For the second point (keeping carts accessible across multiple devices) you can actually handle that with Casper – Cart Sync.
It automatically saves each logged-in customer’s cart and restores it on any other device or browser they use, so they can start an order at the office and finish it later from home without losing anything.
It’s fully compatible with Shopify’s new customer accounts and works invisibly in the background (no pop-ups or setup).
