How does archiving vs deleting affect SEO and site navigation?

Bear with me, several parts to this question…

It is my understanding that I am better off archiving than deleting products/collections. Also, either way, my SEO will be affected. Where I’m stuck… i.e.; if a customer finds an old pin from Pinterest and clicks on it, and it is no longer available and archived, do they then get a 404? If so, is my best course of action to create a url redirect in navigation?

I started using Ahrefs (free reports for SEO) to find my mistakes and get a better understanding of my site (omg, way over my head, but I’m trying and want to learn!) My confusion is how products/pages/collections point to each other. I.e.; I had a page that forwarded to a replicated website for one of my businesses. I ended up not liking how they did things, so ended it, and ‘hid’ that page. Now my whole site is messed up and I have over 1,000 broken links, among other things!

In the short term, do I keep that page hidden (eventually delete?) and create a redirect to someplace else on my site?

As a specific example of pages/products/collections pointing to each other… this product link: https://pineapplesandpalmtrees.net/products/ring-crown-coronation-purple-paparazzi-jewelry points to this page somehow https://pineapplesandpalmtrees.net/pages/epicure , which is the 404. When I look at that first link there is NOTHING that I can see that points to the …/epicure page.

To be clear I’m not asking about Ahrefs, I’m asking if anyone knows how these things point to each other and how to view it, so I can make the corrections. Thank you!!
