Im guessing shopify has its own email system for confirming orders and grabbing new customers emails etc, but how would this work with a full fledged email marketing system alongside it, do you cancel out the shopify one and then something like mailchimp or klayvio takes over or how would that work considering that shopify is handling the orders?

If you need a more powerful email marketing solution, you could use something like Klaviyo. For Klaviyo to take over all email comms, they may disable some of Shopify’s emails so they don’t conflict.
