How does reactivating a frozen online store impact my billing cycle?

Hi,

I want to Re-open my store, which I left back in 2020. I was using Shopify’s basic plan ($29). But now when I log in back it says ‘PLAN AND BILLING CYCLE’ and the Estimated total is $58.00 USD.

Basic Shopify plan ($29.00 USD + tax, every 30 days)

CHARGES

Each bill will be charged to your payment method separately.

Billing cycle $29.00 USD

Billing cycle: March 2022 $29.00 USD + tax

MY QUESTION IS: will I pay $58.00 USD just one time or every month I will be paying an extra Billing cycle: $29.00 USD + tax?

Thank you!

Hi there, @WiggleWink !

Welcome back to Shopify! How is your store re-opening going? I’d love to help you out with some business growth ideas - how do you feel things are going at the minute? Is there anything you’d like to improve or change?

Great question: To re-open a frozen store, you are paying both the fee from the billing cycle for the time when the store was last active, and the next 30 days going forward so this is why there is a one off payment of 2 billing cycle fees. Going forward, you will be billed $29 every 30 days for your subscription fee if you choose to continue on this plan. I hope that helps to clarify things!

Hi Shopify Staff,

Thank you for your help. You did an amazing job keeping it simple so I understood.

After Re-opening the store, I will be paying only $29 (basic plan fee). Right?

Thannk you!
