How does the 'Charge tax on this product' checkbox affect product pricing?

Hi connects,

I need help understanding Charge tax on this product checkbox under pricing, while adding a product.

  1. I have added product with a price, and it already include local taxes. So do I need to select this checkbox and uncheck it? I am not sure how to test it either. If I select this box, local will be applied on total product price?

Current, its unchecked and I don’t see any tax distribution.

I get my sale invoices from shiprocket and It does not show any distribution of GST tax.

  1. Also, at shopify, where can I see the sale invoice of paid customers? i am using refresh theme (free)
