I am using one of the third-party solutions, Uniqode and I’m really happy with it, that would be my recommendation for you and anyone who’s still looking. But the first thing to do is always check the reviews. Especially what users have to say in different online communities. I read several times about a situation similar to yours where a QR code just stops working.
