Is the distance used when determining if a shipping address is within the set radius for a delivery location the distance in a straight line between the two or does it use the distance of the shortest route?
Hey @JasonMalone ,
Thank you for reaching out to the Community! I’m happy to provide some guidance with local delivery and understanding how the delivery radius is calculated.
To provide some context, delivery radius is calculated as a straight line distance between the two locations. As Google maps is utilized for this calculation, you can check out their Measuring Distance helpdoc for more information on this.
It outlines however, that the straight line distance to the shipping origin can be verified by:
- Search the distance between the shipping location and the customer’s shipping address on Google Maps.
- Right click the shipping location.
- Select Measure Distance.
- Right click the destination and select Distance to Here.
Please let me know if you have any other concerns.
