Hi, on the Facebook sales channel within Shopify, it is showing that my shop is pending review. How long does it typically take for Facebook to review? It’s been like over 2 Weeks
Topic summary
A merchant’s Facebook sales channel has been pending review for over two weeks, significantly longer than the typical 24-48 hour timeframe. While reviews can occasionally extend to 4 weeks due to Facebook’s workload or verification requirements, several troubleshooting steps are recommended:
Immediate Actions:
- Check Facebook Commerce Manager for pending notifications or policy violations
- Verify compliance with Facebook’s Commerce Policies and Community Standards
- Ensure the store meets eligibility requirements (some mention needing specific follower/post counts, though exact thresholds aren’t publicly disclosed)
Technical Solutions:
- Disconnect and reconnect the Facebook sales channel in Shopify (Settings > Apps and Sales Channels)
- If the disconnect button is unresponsive: clear browser cache, try different browsers, or manually revoke Shopify access through Facebook Business Manager > Business Integrations
Escalation:
- Contact Facebook Business Support through Commerce Manager or Meta Business Help Center
- Reach out to Shopify Support to escalate the issue to their technical team
The merchant specifically noted being unable to press the disconnect button, which multiple respondents addressed with alternative removal methods. The discussion remains open with no confirmed resolution.
Typically, Facebook’s review process for shops can take up to 48 hours.
However, there are instances where reviews have taken longer, sometimes up to four weeks.
Here are some steps you can take to address this delay:
-
Ensure that your shop meets all of Facebook’s commerce eligibility requirements. Non-compliance can result in extended review times or rejection.
-
Reconnect Your Facebook Page. Here’s how:
- In your Shopify admin, navigate to the Facebook Sales Channel.
- Go to Settings.
- Under Facebook Page, click Disconnect, then reconnect your page.
- This action can sometimes reset the review process.
- If the review has been pending beyond the typical timeframe, reach out to Facebook’s support team. To do this:
- Log in to your Facebook Business Manager account.
- Navigate to Commerce, then click on the Help button at the bottom left corner.
- Select Contact Support and fill out the contact form.
Hope it helps!
It took our store a long time. I can’t remember the exact parameters, but you have to have a certain amount of followers and posts, or something like that. I would dig into the exact requirements, because they don’t tell you outright what they are looking for
The Problem is, that I can´t press disconnect!
Hi @HIMMELSTEIN
I totally get how frustrating it can be to wait on that Facebook sales channel review, two weeks is a long time.
Typically, Facebook reviews take 24-48 hours, but it’s not uncommon for it to stretch longer. Sometimes up to a few weeks if they’re backed up or if there’s an issue with your setup.
Since it’s been over two weeks, I’d suggest double-checking your Facebook Business Manager and Page settings to ensure everything’s linked correctly and meets their commerce policies. You could also try disconnecting and reconnecting the sales channel in Shopify to kickstart the process again. If that doesn’t budge things, reach out to Shopify Support with your store details, they can escalate it to their tech team to nudge Facebook along
Facebook’s review process for the Shopify sales channel usually takes a few days to a week, but in some cases, it can take several weeks due to additional verification steps. Since it has been over two weeks, here are a few things you can do:
Check for Notifications – Go to your Commerce Manager and Meta Business Suite to see if there are any pending actions or documents needed.
Ensure Compliance – Double-check that your store follows Facebook’s commerce policies, including product eligibility and business verification.
Contact Facebook Support – If the review is taking too long, go to Meta Business Help Center and submit a request.
Have you received any emails or notifications regarding additional verification?
