Hi everybody,
I’m currently looking for chatbot solutions for my store and wondering if it is even worth it, considering how many people use it monthly.
Would be great if you could post your amount of monthly users. With traffic of course, which makes a big impact.
Although I don’t have access to specific data on monthly user numbers, I can confirm that integrating a chat service on your store can foster trust and reliability among your buyers. It enables them to reach out to you instantly with any questions they may have about a particular item, further enhancing their shopping experience. You can set up automated responses or saved replies to quickly address common customer inquiries, saving time and ensuring consistent messaging.
For example, you could use our free app called Shopify Inbox. Shopify Inbox is a messaging tool provided by Shopify that enables you to have real-time conversations with customers while they are browsing and shopping on your store. It’s worth noting that around 70% of the conversations that take place through Shopify Inbox are with customers who are actively making a purchase. You can check more information on how it workshere at the link.
Alternatively, there are many other free and paid apps here at this page if you wanted to have a look**.**

To enhance customer experience and provide a more engaging interaction, you can also add a AI agent to your storefront to help your visitors find products and answer any support queries (order returns, delivery information etc.) that they might have. You can check out my one here.
Let me know what you think! I’m looking to improve it so your feedback would be much appreciated
Hello,@Erik0604 I am the developer of HeiChat. Although your issue seems to have been resolved by the Shopify staff, I believe I have some data to share with you. Currently, HeiChat (a chatbot embedded with ChatGPT AI) has been installed by over 1000 merchants. I can provide some average data. For a store with around 20,000 monthly traffic, there are approximately 1-3 users chatting with the chatbot each day. Each chat session consists of about 3-5 interactions. I hope this data can be helpful to you.
@Erik0604 , considering that it’s been 2 years since your last post when you were looking for a chat app. Maybe you’d be interested in taking it to the next level and automating customer service using AI technology? Try our chat app called Chattly | Customer Chatbot AI . It will automate your daily work in answering your customers’ questions. You will gain a lot of extra time to develop your store and business. If you have any questions for me, I am at your disposal.
although your problem is officially solved, I got some new data regarding this topic:
You are 100% right that traffic makes a big difference for the impact of a chatbot.
For example, Zipchat as an ROI calculator on their website where they promote their chat with an 1.5% interaction rate. Means if your store has 1000 visitors you will average 15 interactions per month.
@Dave-heichat talk about his HeiChat which has a 0.45% interaction rate (3 interactions a day = 90 per month, 90/20.000 = 0,0045).
I’ve started building “normal“ AI Chatbots like Zipchat or Heichat one year ago and the interaction rate was the main problem I faced.
Thats why I build ShopGuide. It’s brand new in the Shopify Store, but it’s already running on 4 different stores around the world.
The big difference is that we average over 30 interactions per month at 1000 visitors. That means on a store with 20.000 visitors we will have over 600 interaction (compared to HeiChats 90 interactions) which all of them present valuable information for the customer and the merchant as well, lead to more checkouts and drastically reduce support tickets.
The ShopGuide approach on how to present a chat in your Shopify store was never seen before and is the first and only of his kind.
With that, I highly suggest don’t spend any money on “normal“ chatbots because they are just not efficient …
