How to make both images clickable on the homepage of Dawn 9.0 theme. I seem obvious to have this option, but i cannot find it. Please help

Can we just take a moment to acknowledge what an idiotic oversight this is? Shopify is a publicly traded company and its product doesn’t allow users to MAKE IMAGES CLICKABLE. This is basic web functionality. In previous themes there have been snippets of code to past in to add this - so commenting here so I get updated when a helpful coder ads this tutorial.
