Hi everyone,
I’m using the Atelier theme and trying to recreate something similar to the Casablanca website.
On a collection page, I want a horizontal sub-collection menu (like Shirts, T-Shirts, Pants, etc.) displayed under the header kind of like a scrollable mini menu, based on the collection the user selects.
URL: Runway
URL: Casablanca
Any simple guidance would really help
You can use an app, or build a custom section. If you want to build it, you are more than welcome to use Shopify Sidekick. Just tell it what you want, that you want a section on the collection template that is horizontal collection links, and when you click on a collection link it takes you to that collection page and highlights the link associated with the current page. It’s really easy
Hi, ive tried asking sidekick but it really doest function the way i want it. Can you please share the app thats able to do this.
Your example shows a navigation section that not actually part of the header, but it has sticky functionality so it just looks like it is.
I haven’t tried these, so I don’t know if they do in fact support in-page navigation menus, and I am NOT vouching here. But there are some apps you could try.
Qikify mega menu, Globo mega menu, and Navi+ menu/navigation
@runwayfashion You can easily use the app. If you don’t want to use app, you can make the submenu and customize the default dropdown setting with css and JavaScript. Hope this is helpful.
can you share the css and javascript
Well, you can make the menus and submenus. And then customize the menu code so make it as the root structure. And get the menu and show and hide it using JavaScript. It would be takes around 2 - 3 hours for that.
