How to add a .liquid template for a page?

I am trying to display a PDF file but when I use a default page template it comes up with an error. I have been informed that we have to create a new template that is .liquid.

When I open the customizer - I go into Pages - Create a new template - The only options I have is to choose ‘What page I want to base it on i.e. Home Page, Default Page etc’.

Would appreciate some help. I did have a look at a few links but they do not really explain on how to do this.

I am using the Spark Theme on www.lsaccountingfirm.com.

This tutorial might help- https://www.huratips.com/tech-tips/how-to-embed-pdf-document-file-into-the-page-on-shopify.html Create a section and then add the code from the tutorial in there, then create a page where you’ll add the section to to display the pdf. So you wouldnt have any need for a template, well unless you plan to do some other stuff for just that specific page then yes surely create a template.
