Does anyone know how to add a field to hold vendor sku to product page?

Are you able to provide a screenshot or link to a website where we can see an example of what you would like to have on your product pages? I believe you are looking to have a field on the product page that shows the item SKU, is that correct?

If you can share some additional context and samples that will really help us out in assisting you with this.

Hi Shay, thank you for your reply. I am using the SKU and Barcode field and need another field for the vendor sku to make ordering easy.

There’s a place to input the vendor under “organization”.

Thank you but vendor under org is used for vendor name. The vendors prod number is a unique number assigned to each variant I would Not want my vendor reporting and filtering to be skewed.

Thank you for the additional clarification on what you are looking for @suzgug . While Shopify doesn’t natively support additional fields on your product details in the store admin, I can recognize how that can be very beneficial for your business.

There are a selection of apps you can look at though that can provide this option for you. These apps are independently built by our partner developers but can be very effective as solving problems like this one. One very popular app is the Custom Fields by Bonify app. They have a free plan available which should be perfect for what you are looking to do. You can also search the app store for “Custom Field” to see a range of other apps that offer similar functionality.

Hopefully these apps will assist you in getting the functionality you want to have from your Shopify store!

We use the vendor’s sku as our sku.
