How to add an overlay to collection list page images

I have a ‘collection list’ section on my home page and each collection card has an overlay like this:

On my collections page, I want the same overlay applied, it currently looks like this:

Is there a way to do this?

Yes this is a shopify store using the Focal 12.0.1 theme
