Shopify posts the date a blog article is published, but there’s no way to add an “Article Update” date that shows up below the publish date on the live article.
Shopify’s blog functionality is so severely lacking and I’m assuming we’ll have to custom code this. Has anyone added this functionality to their Shopify blog?
I do no think you can do this without API manipulation. Indeed it would be a great feature to have in Shopify. As a workaround, I’ve seen stores link up to external blog-specific platforms via subdomains, e.g. blog.yourdomain.com. This allows for greater control of their blogs.
