How to add bundles guys?

Topic summary

Adding product bundles in a Shopify store is the central topic. One suggested approach is to search the Shopify App Store for “Bundle” apps, compare features, design, and cost, then install an app and create the bundle.

Several replies request clarification before giving detailed guidance: whether a specific bundle design/layout is intended; whether the implementation should use a Shopify app or a custom-coded solution; and whether the bundle is mix-and-match (customers choose different items) or a bundle of the same product.

Next steps:

  • Decide on bundle type (mix-and-match vs same-product).
  • Choose implementation method (app-based vs custom code).
  • If app-based, browse and select a bundle app aligned with required features, design, and budget, then set up the bundle.

Hi @Somehow999

To add bundles, could you please confirm a few things first?

  • Do you already have a bundle design/layout in mind?

  • Would you like to set up the bundles using a Shopify app, or do you prefer a custom-coded bundle (no app)?

Once I know your preference, I can guide you with the best and most suitable approach.

Best regards,

Are you looking for mix and match bundles or just the same product in bundles?

Hi @Somehow999

I’d suggest installing iCart. With iCart, you can do more than bundles. You can show upsells, cross-sells, product bundles (of course), volume discounts, progress bar, countdown timer, and more!

To add product bundles through iCart, you need to,

  1. Add the Product Bundle widget to your editor and give it a heading (for backend use).
  2. Set the storefront title and adjust basic colors/background if needed.
  3. Choose bundle type:
    • Shopify Recommendation (auto-suggested), or

    • Specific Products (manually pick 2–3 products).

  4. Configure “already in cart” behavior (show anyway, hide bundle, or show alternatives).
  5. Select layout (List or Grid).
  6. Adjust product options (image, title, variants, quantity, etc.).
  7. Create the bundle offer (percentage, fixed discount, or manual bundle price).
  8. Customize the Add to Cart button text and colors.
  9. (Optional) Add timer, price display style, and star reviews.
  10. Set display rules (where/when the bundle appears).
  11. Save and publish the widget.

You can DM me if you need any help setting this up.

The simplest way to add bundles on Shopify is instead of building everything with custom code (which takes time and maintenance), most merchants use a bundle app from the Shopify App Store. One easy and reliable option is a bundle app.
I suggest, if you’re unsure about which bundle type to use, start with a simple BOGO or fixed bundle. You can always test mix-and-match later once you see what customers respond to.

Thanks,

Hi @Somehow999

There is a wide variety of choice that you can make on the Shopify app store. Just give bundle a search and you should be good to go!

Hope this helps!

The basic app from the Shopify App Store is very basic, it needs upgrades but they don’t want to do them, they want someone to make a better app and not have to worry about making its own apps that work properly.

Be prepared to make bundles and fiddling around even deleting then making it again for them to look decent.

haven’t had any time to look but there might be a better one now, 3rd party paid app…

It’s what they want you to pay pay pay :money_bag: for more more more apps…

You are then stuck in a hamster :hamster: wheel of Shopify apps…

good luck :four_leaf_clover:

Hi @Somehow999 :raising_hands:

For merchants looking to add product bundles to Shopify quickly without writing any code, using a bundle app is a much more efficient option than building bundles manually or modifying the theme. One solution worth considering is Easify Box Builder, an app specifically designed to create flexible product bundles and product combos.

With Easify Box Builder, you can create bundles using four box types based on how you want to price and sell. Regular Box calculates the total price from selected items, Fixed Box Price sells a combo at a set price, Tiered Quantity Discounts support “buy more, save more” offers, and Predefined Box Sizes let you offer ready-made options like Small, Medium, or Large with clear quantities and pricing.

Here’s an example I’ve created so you can see how it works:

  • This is the result:

  • This is the app setting:

In this demo, customers first select a box size, then choose cookie flavors to add to the box. Products are shown in a clean card layout with images, an Add to box button, and a box summary panel, making it easy to track selections and complete the bundle.

In advanced promotions - for example, applying discounted pricing only when customers select the required number of items, showing a message when a discount is unlocked, and ensuring the total price always follows your bundle rules, even when products inside the box have different prices.

Finally, Easify Box Builder is easy to use for non-technical merchants, featuring an intuitive drag-and-drop interface that lets you set up boxes, pricing, and logic in minutes - no coding or theme changes required.
