How to add checkout extension using Checkout::Dynamic::Render to order status page?

In this tutorial: https://shopify.dev/docs/apps/checkout/order-status-page/getting-started they use the Checkout::Dynamic::Render placement to add the survey to the Checkout::Dynamic::Render[OrderStatus1] position as shown here: https://shopify.dev/docs/api/checkout-ui-extensions/extension-points-overview#supported-locations-order-status

The supported dynamic positions are shown in this image:

But when I go to the checkout editor in browser, this is what it looks like:

The only pages that appear are the information page, shipping page, and the payment page. I’m able to use the app on these pages fine, I just add them and then drag them on. But how am I supposed to drag my app into the order status page if it’s not available on this page? I can load the app on the order status page if I use the static extension points, but the static extension points dont give you the same positions the dynamic one does. Any help appreciated

I think it might only be available if you create a development store with the checkout-extensibility preview. Not 100% on this and it might be available in all dev stores already

checkout-extensibility preview is enabled, you need that enabled to even have access to the checkout extensions. this also shows up in store settings:

@oponn You can use the checkout extensions on live stores - I’m just not sure about the order status page.

As you are already using the checkout extensibility preview then I don’t know why its not showing up

Order status page extensions are in developer preview and only available for local testing on developer shops right now. We are actively working on the experience in the checkout editor, stay tuned!

In the meantime, you can locally test extensions by appending the test URL as outlined in this step of the tutorial.

I’m with the same issue. On the developer preview (when I ran ‘npm run dev’), the OrderStatus1 location using the ‘Checkout::Dynamic::Render’ on the render function is working correctly, but when I did the deploy, it is not working. Do you found something?

I’m using a developer store with Checkout Extensibility mode.

I am still in contact with Shopify customer support, but no, there has not been a solution to this issue yet, sorry. I’ll update the thread if it gets resolved. I have been doing the same thing as you to test, only to find that it does not appear to be available on live.

It appears that both the thankyou and the order status page has become available to add checkout extensions to as of checking this morning. Required no action from my part, as far as I can tell despite having docs up on how to do this, its only just been rolled out as a function.
