Topic summary
Goal: Add a gift-wrap option as a checkbox on the cart page in the Refresh theme.
What was tried: A gift-wrap product and menu link were created. Guidance suggested adding Liquid code inside the product form (product.liquid or sections/product-form.liquid) via Edit code, placing it within the form that wraps Add to Cart.
Challenge: The referenced files weren’t found in the theme by the store owner, who is unfamiliar with code and the form tag. This led to a request for collaborator access for hands-on help.
Actions taken: Collaborator access was offered and the store owner said they sent details via email. Subsequently, a gift-wrap option was implemented under each product, and it works.
Open question: Can the gift-wrap option be added directly to the cart/basket instead of only on product pages? The owner worries shoppers might miss it on product cards.
Latest update/status: The helper indicated they did not receive the access message. Cart-page integration has not been confirmed; discussion remains open without a cart-specific solution yet.
