How to add Ken Burns PAN/ZOOM effect to slideshow?

I am working in the Brooklyn theme and would like to enhance my slideshow by incorporating the Ken Burns pan/zoom effect on the images. I see lot of code out there when I research, but I have not found anything that I can get to work. I also see several unanswered questions in the Shopify group about this.

Does anyone know if this can be done?

Did you ever figure this out? Would love to add a hero slider to my home page that utilizes the ken burns effect.
