I tried to use the app as recommended by shopify help section but it says “not available for your region”.
Is there a way to paste a pixel tracking code into the header as a workaround?

You can in theory add the pixel tracking code. However, we’d recommend taking a look at our guide, Pixels overview, and you’ll be able to add a custom pixel. If you need help with adding a custom pixel, then we’d recommend hiring a developer to assist you with this task. Should you need help finding a developer for your store, then you can take a look at our directory of certified developers on Shopify Partners.
